What information we collect
We only collect information about you if we have a valid reason to do so (for example, to provide our services, to communicate with you, or to improve our services). We collect information in three ways: if and when you provide us with information, automatically through your use of our services, and from external sources. Below is the information we collect.

Information you provide to us

It goes without saying that we collect the information you provide to us. The amount and type of information depends on the context and how the information is used. Here are some examples:

  • Basic Account Information : We ask for some basic information to set up your YOUR-COMPANY-WEBSITE account. For example, we ask people who register for an account to provide a username and email address. You may also provide us with additional information (such as your name), but we do not need this information to create an account.

  • Public Profile Information : If you have an account with us, we collect the information you provide for your public profile. For example, if you have an account, your username is part of that public profile, along with any other information you enter into your public profile, such as a photo or “About Me” description. Your public profile information is just that, public, so keep that in mind when deciding what information you would like to include.

  • Transaction and Billing Information : If you purchase something from us (a subscription to a specific plan or a physical or digital product). For example, you will provide additional personal and payment information necessary to process the transaction and your payment, such as your name, credit card information, and contact information.

  • Content Information : Depending on the services you use, you may also provide us with information about yourself in the form of drafts and published content. For example, if you write a blog post that includes biographical information about yourself, we will have that information and so will anyone on the Internet who chooses to make the post public. This may seem obvious… but it’s not true for everyone!

  • Communicating with us : You may also provide us with information when you respond to surveys or communicate with members of our staff about support requests.

Information collected automatically

We also collect some information automatically:

  • Log Information : Like most online service providers, we collect information that browsers, mobile devices, and servers typically make available, such as your browser type, IP address, unique device identifiers, language preference, referring site, date and time of access, operating system, and mobile network information. We collect log information when you use our services (for example, when you create or make changes to your account).

  • Usage information : We collect information about your use of our services (such as page views), along with device information (such as screen size, mobile network name, and mobile device manufacturer). We use this information, for example, to provide our services and to gain insights into how people use our services, so that we can improve the quality of the services we offer.

  • Location Information : We may be able to determine the approximate location of the device you are using based on your IP address. We collect and use this information to, for example, calculate how many people visit our services from certain geographic areas.

  • Information from Cookies and Other Technologies : A cookie is a small string of information that a website stores on a visitor's computer, and that the visitor's browser provides to the website each time the visitor returns. Pixel tags (also called web beacons) are small blocks of code placed on websites and emails. Oramata srl uses cookies and other technologies such as pixel tags to help us identify and track visitors, usage, and access preferences for our services, as well as track and help us understand the effectiveness of email campaigns and serve targeted ads. For more information about how we use cookies and other technologies and tracking, including how you can control the use of cookies, please see our Cookie Policy .

Information we collect from other sources

We may also get information about you from other sources. For example, if you create or log in to your account through another service (like Google) or if you connect your account to a social media service (like Twitter or Facebook). We may receive information from that service (such as your username, basic profile information, and friends list) through the authorization procedures used by that service. The information we receive, if any, depends on the services you authorize and the options available to you. We may also receive other information, such as an email address, from third-party services about people who are not yet our users (… but we hope they are!), which we may use, for example, for marketing and advertising purposes.

How and why we process Personal Data

Purpose of the processing of Personal Data
We use information about you as mentioned above and for the purposes listed below:

  • To provide our services (for example, to set up and maintain your account or bill you for any of our paid services).

  • To further develop and improve our services.

  • To monitor and analyze trends and better understand how users interact with our services, which helps us improve our services and make them more effective and easier to use.

  • To measure, evaluate and improve the effectiveness of our advertising and better understand user retention and usage of our services (for example, we may analyze how many people purchased a plan after receiving a marketing message or the features used by those who continue to use our services after a certain period of time).

  • To monitor and prevent any problems with our services, to protect the security of our services, to detect and prevent fraudulent transactions and other illegal activities, to combat spam, and to protect the rights and property of Oramata srl and others, which may result in our refusal regarding transactions or provision of our Services.

We potentially share information about you in the limited circumstances indicated below, adopting adequate guarantees regarding your privacy:

We always require vendors to agree to our privacy commitment terms before sharing information with them. Additional vendors are listed in our Cookie Policy .

  • Legal Obligation : We may disclose information about you in response to a government request when we are legally required to do so, or if we have other compelling legal grounds to do so.

  • To protect rights, property, and others : We may disclose information about you when we believe in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of Oramata srl, third parties, or the general public. For example, if we believe in good faith that there is imminent danger of death or serious personal injury.

  • Business Transfers : In connection with any merger, sale of company assets, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business by another organization, or in the unlikely event that Oramata srl goes out of business or enters bankruptcy, user information would likely be one of the assets transferred or acquired by a third party. If any of these events were to occur, this Privacy Policy would still apply to your information, and the party receiving your data may continue to use it, but only in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

  • With Your Consent : We may share and disclose information with your consent or at your direction. • Posted Support Requests : If you submit a support request (for example, via a support email or one of our feedback mechanisms), we reserve the right to post that request publicly in order to help us clarify or respond to your request or to assist us in supporting other users.

The information you choose to make public is, indeed, publicly disclosed. This means, of course, that information such as your public profile, your bio or other content you choose to make public on our website, your “Likes” and your comments, are all publicly available. For example, the photo you may upload to your public profile.
Public information can also be indicated in data accessible via APIs used by third parties. Keep this in mind when deciding what you want to share publicly.

We generally delete data about you when we no longer need the information for the purposes for which we collect and use it (which are described in the “How and Why We Process Personal Data” section above) and we are not legally required to retain it. For example, we retain web server information that logs data about a visitor to our website, such as the visitor’s IP address, browser type, and operating system, for about 30 days. We retain log information for this period of time to, among other things, analyze traffic to our website and investigate any problems with our website. For example, when you delete a post, page, or comment from our websites, it remains in your “trash” folder for thirty days in case you change your mind and want to restore that content. After thirty days, the deleted content may remain in our encrypted backups and caches until deleted.

Cookies can be set by the website you are visiting (known as "first party cookies") or by third parties, such as those who serve content or provide advertising or analytics services on the website ("third party cookies"). Both websites and HTML emails can also contain other tracking technologies such as "web beacons" or "pixels". These are typically small transparent images that provide statistics, for similar purposes to cookies. They are often used in conjunction with cookies, although they are not stored on your computer in the same way. As a result, if you disable cookies, web beacons may still load, but their functionality will be limited.

How We Use Cookies

We use cookies for a variety of purposes. Some cookies are necessary for technical reasons; some enable a personalized experience for both visitors and registered users; and others enable the display of advertising from selected third-party networks. Some of these cookies may be set when a page loads, or when a visitor takes a certain action (clicking the “Like” or “Follow” button on a post, for example). Many of the cookies we use are only set if you are a registered user of YOUR-COMPANY-WEBSITE (to save you having to log in every time, for example), while others are set whenever you visit one of our websites, regardless of whether you have an account. For more information about the options you have to control the cookies we use, see the “Controlling Cookies” section below.

Types of Cookies

  • Strictly necessary
These cookies are essential for our websites to perform their basic functions. These include those necessary to allow registered users to authenticate and perform functions related to their account, as well as to save the contents of virtual "shopping carts" on sites that have e-commerce functionality.

  • Functional
These cookies are used to store preferences set by users such as account name, language and location.

  • Safety
We use these cookies to help identify and prevent potential security risks.

  • Analysis and Performance
Performance cookies collect information about how users interact with our websites, including which pages are visited most often, as well as certain analytics data. We use these details to improve how our websites work and to understand how users interact with them.

  • Third parties / Embedded content
Our websites use a variety of third-party applications and services to enhance the visitor experience. These include: Automattic (for features like WooCommerce, Gravatar, Akismet and Jetpack), Google (for analytics and advertising), social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter (through the use of share buttons), or embedded content from YouTube and Vimeo. As a result, cookies may be set by these third parties and used by them to track your online activity. We have no direct control over the information that is collected by these cookies.

Third Party Cookies

We work in partnership with third-party providers. Third-party cookies allow us and our partners to offer services and customize them based on your information. Below is a list of our partners, along with information about the cookies each partner sets. Your choices for controlling cookies are described below.

Control Cookies

Visitors may wish to limit the use of cookies or prevent them from being set altogether. Most browsers offer some control over cookie behavior, such as how long they are stored, either through built-in functionality or by using third-party features. If you disable cookies, please note that some of the features of our Service may not function properly. To learn more about how to manage and delete cookies, visit aboutcookies.org . For more details on your choices regarding use of your web browsing activity to provide you with interest-based advertising, visit youronlinechoices.eu (EU) or optout.aboutads.info (US). On a mobile device, you may also be able to adjust your settings to limit ad tracking. You can opt-out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Opt-out Browser Add-on .

Cookie Consent

You may see a “Cookie banner” on our websites, especially if you are in the European Union. In this case, we do not allow our partners to set cookies before you accept, except for those exempt from the consent requirement and therefore not subject to prior blocking (technical, strictly necessary and anonymized statistical cookies). When you consent, we and our partners can set third-party cookies to, for example, provide more relevant advertising to users, remember their most recent searches or interactions, or improve reporting on the performance of marketing campaigns.
