Pizza Village and FICO Eataly World

Bologna, July 27, 2019: the Guinness world record pizza that unites Italy.

After the record for the longest pizza ever made in the world , Pizza Village and Fico have outdone themselves: 500 meters of pizza with ingredients from all the Italian regions to celebrate the biodiversity of our country.

A pizza capable of uniting the entire Peninsula!

At FICO Eataly World, the Neapolitan Master Pizza Chefs, with the support of a team of talented young people from Rossopomodoro , used 500 kg of flour from Mulino Caputo (world leader in pizza flour), 400 kg of Ciao tomatoes , the Pomodoro di Napoli, 500 kg of fresh fiordilatte for pizza from Latteria Sorrentina , 10 kg of basil from the OrtoRicci company, 50 litres of Oltitalia extra virgin olive oil.

100 meters of traditional Neapolitan margherita pizza were produced, as well as 400 meters of pizza with recipes and ingredients from 20 regions: Sardinian with Bottarga, Valdostana with Fontina and Lard d'Arnad, Trentino with Speck, Sicilian with Pachino and Tuna, Friulian with Montasio cheese and again, Puglian with Acquaviva Onion and Burrata, Emilian with Mortadella, Calabrian with Nduja and then Veneto with Radicchio and Molise with Agnone caciocavallo. Many of these ingredients were made available thanks to the precious collaboration of the renowned brands D'Amico and Robo .

The setup included around 270 tables on which the large baking tray was placed for rolling out the dough, while for cooking, 2 special “mobile” ovens designed together with the Magliano Forni company were put into operation, allowing the public to taste this original freshly baked pizza.
